Eden Par 3 – Gold 160 Blue 153 White 145 Copper 140 Green 130

There are two template holes in the Mac-Raynor repertoire whose origins trace back to the Old Course at Saint Andrews, where Macdonald attended University, the Long and the Eden. The defining features of an Eden are a green complex notably sloping from back to front, with challenging internal contours, protected by intimidating bunkers which have names rooted in Old Course lore.

The Valley’s Eden green rests on an elevated narrow strip of land overlooking our only natural water feature. The 50 yard deep green has three distinct sections; the front has a steep back to front slope, the middle is flatter with saddle-like side slopes, the rear slopes back to front with a vintage Raynor spine running down the middle. Execute an accurate tee shot which avoids the Strath bunker front right, solve the putting complexity of the most unique green at the Valley, and you can celebrate making a par at our Eden. If not, simply gaze at the water below, listen to the sounds of nature, and enjoy the view!
